Sebastian Coe: 'Sport couldn’t sit this dance out'

Sebastian Coe tells 5 Live Breakfast that Russian and Belarusian athletes should not be able to compete in any competitions whilst 'Ukrainian athletes are cowering in bunkers.'

The president of World Athletics said the decision was made to ban Russian and Belarusian athletes from competing as a consequence of the Russian invasion in Ukraine. Sebastian Coe has previously said that politics should stay out of sports but admitted that 'sport couldn't sit this dance out.'
