The environmental risks from Ukraine conflict
Ukraine is highly industrialised, with nuclear power stations. The biggest one in Europe was hit by Russian missiles yesterday. There are fears of leakage, spillage and seepage from various other waste sites too.
Doug Weir - the research and policy director at The Conflict and Environment Observatory - told Newshour's Audrey Brown his concerns about the environmental impact of the conflict in Ukraine.
