From being a popular comedian within his own country, to addressing world leaders and being a beacon of strength and hope in wartime, Volodymyr Zelensky's transformation into president during wartime has been impressive.

The EU Ambassador to Ukraine,聽Matti Maasikas, assesses his rise and says that he showed many sterling qualities during his time in office, even before the war began.聽Despite having no political experience before he took office, he says the Ukrainian president has risen to the challenge and emerged as a "strong wartime leader".
