In the last day or so, Russian forces have been expanding their offensive in Ukraine, striking two cities in the west of the country. Moscow says it hit military airfields in Lutsk and Ivano-Frankivsk. Elsewhere the central city of Dnipro was hit by three Russian airstrikes, damaging an apartment block and a kindergarten. Sirens have been heard through the night in many other cities across Ukraine - from Lviv, in the west, to the north east region of Sumy - as Russia's troops push forward.
Vitaly, a resident of Lutsk describes an overnight airstrike there. He says he watched a fireball climb into the sky, followed by plumes of dark smoke as a petrol terminal was destroyed. He says up to a day ago, he thought that Lutsk would not be targeted, and that there was no cause for concern for the town's residents and the many internally displaced Ukrainians who have arrived from other places.
"We finally understand that the war is not just focusing on the major cities. No one is safe. No one."
