Ukraine: 'No other country has sacrificed so much for European values'
A few days after Russia invaded Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelensky started the application process for his country to join the EU. He's had promises of weapons from some EU members.
Most of the estimated 2.5 million refugees from the war have crossed into EU countries, and the EU has imposed tough financial sanctions on Russia. A European Union delegation has just returned from an official visit to the western Ukrainian city of Lviv, a city which saw a Russian missile strike land on a nearby Ukrainian military base on Sunday.
One of the team was a current vice president of the European Parliament, the Slovak Member of the European Parliament Michal Šimečka.
