Ukraine war: bombed theatre ‘a postcard of the city’

President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine has accused Russia of intentionally bombing a theatre in the besieged port city of Mariupol where hundreds of people were hiding from shelling.

The words 'Children' were marked on the ground outside to warn Russian jets. Russia denies targeting civilians and says it did not launch the attack.

Igor is an opera singer from Mariupol. He told ѿý Newsday that a lot of people were sheltering at the theatre “including children”.
