Cook for Ukraine: The Russian and Ukrainian chefs uniting to raise money
Russian chef Alissa Timoshkina and Ukrainian chef and activist Olia Hercules are best friends who have joined forces and set up Cook for Ukraine. It's a culinary campaign encouraging people to cook traditional Ukrainian and eastern European food to raise funds to support the humanitarian effort in Ukraine.
Cook for Ukraine's donation page has raised more than £200,000 in donations already, with the money going to Unicef to support children and families impacted by the fighting.
Olia and Alissa both joined ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour presenter Emma Barnett to talk about family, food and friendship during this difficult time.
