Mariupol: 'I haven't heard my mum's voice in weeks'
Since the invasion of Ukraine, many people have fled their homes, and entered neighboring countries to seek refuge. Gordana Krutii lived in Mariupol, a city that has experienced on going bombardment from Russian troops. She is currently in Warsaw, Poland, but her mother is still in Mariupol, on her own in the family home with two dogs.
Mariupol is struggling as the city go without electricity, water or transportation, and a total lack of communication facilities.
Gordana spoke about her mother on Newsday saying: "Reportedly in the part of the city where she lives, there's street fights, and because of this, it is extremely dangerous to even make an attempt to leave the house".
