Franz Ferdinand Frontman: 'Fame always felt a little absurd'
Franz Ferdinand frontman Alex Kapranos spoke to 5 Live’s Nihal Arthanayake about his opinion of fame.
“Encounters with fame always felt a little absurd,” he said.
He talked Nihal through some of the more notable experiences.
“Walking up the red carpet to the Grammy’s in between Hulk Hogan and James Brown, that felt a little absurd,” Alex laughed.
Attending a party hosted by R&B artist Usher who was “standing on a box holding two tiger cubs” was a particular highlight.
“We’re just four guys from Glasgow,” said Alex, still slightly perplexed at the band's global success 20 years on.
