'Nato is stronger than ever' says President Biden
Nato, G7 and EU leaders have been meeting in Brussels to discuss the war in Ukraine.
Following the latest developments with the war in Ukraine, there's been a flurry of diplomatic activity between Western nations as Nato, G7 and EU leaders met in Brussels to discuss Russia's invasion of its sovereign neighbour.
Deployments of battalions to the eastern European flanks of Nato were agreed upon, as was the confirmation that Moscow's use of any biological or chemical weapons in Ukraine would be a red line which would generate an "appropriate and measured response".
Speaking at the recent meeting in Brussels, US President Joe Biden said Nato had never been stronger and that if Vladimir Putin wanted to show that democracies are failing, the best way to defeat that autocratic mindset is to show how such countries are actually united.
Jakub Landovsky, the Czech ambassador to Nato, attended the meeting and told Newsday: "Nato is doing exactly what it is designed for, and it's staying united on defending the 30 (Nato member states), and allies individually are helping Ukraine a great deal in its fight against Russia".
