Leicester's mosques open to women during Ramadan
Many mosques in Leicester are opening their doors to allow women to pray. This is a a first for many, and comes after years of campaigning. Traditionally mosques have been male-only spaces during prayers but now, as is the case in many countries around the world, women have been granted space to pray. It's happening during the holy month of Ramadan. ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Leicester presenter Summaya Mughal has been speaking with Yasmin Surti, from the Federation of Muslim Organisations Leicestershire, and Julie Siddiqui, who is from the Open My Mosque initiative.
