A Medical Consultation
Wales' top doctor reflects on a tumultuous two years and the challenges that lie ahead
Owain Clarke and Catrin Haf Jones have a consultation with Wales' Chief Medical Officer, Dr Sir Frank Atherton. He's become a familiar figure over the last two years, regularly fronting press conferences in his role as the country's top doctor. With Coronavirus restrictions largely a thing of the past, now seems a good time to take stock. What advice to ministers would he re-visit knowing what we now know about Covid-19? How do we begin to address the deep-seated health inequalities that have been thrown into stark relief by the pandemic? And where would he recommend for a restorative walk in the Welsh countryside?
