Not the right time for leadership change, says Clacton MP
MPs have agreed to open a parliamentary investigation into whether Boris Johnson lied to the House of Commons about parties at Downing Street during lockdown.
The measure passed without a formal vote, because no-one on the government benches shouted "no" to Labour's motion. It comes after Number 10 pulled a plan to delay the vote.
Giles Watling, the Conservative MP for Clacton, tells ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Essex that if Boris Johnson deliberately misled Parliament then he has to go, but adds that now is not the right time for a leadership change.
