Families denied places at Waverley school
Around twenty families in the catchment area have been told their children haven't got places at Waverley Junior Academy, which was built specifically to provide for the new houses.
Rotherham Council sent us a statement which said it was sorry that due to exceptional circumstances some 21 children in the catchment area haven't been offered a place.
It says the number of places provided was 25 percent above what would normally be expected for the number of houses that have already been built on the estate but demand is far exceeding that.
