It's 50 years since Charlie Duke, the pilot of the Apollo 16 mission, became the youngest man at 36-years-old to walk on the Moon. Apollo 16 landed at Descartes Highlands on April 20th 1972. That landmark moment is being celebrated in the first 'Aim Higher Gala' tonight at the Science Museum in London. The awards aim to highlight the importance of investment in space to benefit life on Earth.

Today's Martha Kearney speaks to Christina Korp, organiser and founder of Space for a Better World and Nicole Stott, a former astronaut who spent over 100 days in space.
