There is already discussion of the next US presidential election, as Donald Trump remains politically active and is apparently considering a run for the White House again in 2024. Mark Esper, a former US Secretary of Defense under Mr Trump, has just published his memoirs of the last months of the Trump administration.聽The Economist magazine has called the book a "frightening read".聽 Mark Esper comments on that viewpoint, as he outlines a memorable meeting from Trump's time, when the former president suggested deploying troops to the streets to shoot protesters. He says he believes Trump running for office again is "a possibility... I don't know if it's a probability".
