Personal finance expert Martin Lewis considers whether now might be a good time to fix your energy tariff.

He says, 鈥渋f you want price certainty, now is not a bad time to be looking at switching鈥�.

Martin suggest consumers may look at three companies: 鈥淓DF with a two-year fix at 24% more than the current price cap, a British Gas one-year fix at 26% more and an EON fix at 30% more鈥�.

He says, 鈥渢o work out whether you fix or not, you need to work out what you鈥檙e paying over a one-year period on a price cap, in comparison to paying on a fixed contract鈥�.
