Four days of celebrations are kicking off to mark to her 70 years on the throne

The Queen has thanked all those involved in her Platinum Jubilee celebrations, as four days of events get underway across the UK and the Commonwealth to mark her 70 years on the throne.

Today's Nick Robinson reports from outside Buckingham Palace where he speaks to crowds on the Mall, event organisers, and former Prime Minister Sir John Major.
