'Having an adapted ball puts you on a level playing field where you’re not at a disadvantage'
16-year-old visually impaired tennis player, Ivan Rodriguez Deb, is the current British No. 1 and is the singles and doubles men’s visually impaired British champion.
Speaking to 5 Live’s Tony Livesey, he said that he started playing mainstream tennis when he was eight years old, but he was struggling with the speed of the ball.
Ivan made the transition into playing visually impaired tennis when he was around 13 years old.
He explains what it’s like to play tennis with a visual impairment.
