Windrush: Reuniting old friends
They met whilst travelling to Britain from Grenada and both trained as nurses. They made up part of the Windrush generation, filling the employment gaps of post-war Britain. The friends attended each others' weddings and enjoyed each others' company, but 20 years ago, they lost contact. On Windrush Day in 2022, they reunite when Barbara hears Theresa's voice on the radio. She calls in to say "I think that's my friend" and the rest was history. Two friends reunited.
