'Ukraine needs Nato to send advanced heavy weapons'
Hundreds of people have been protesting against Nato ahead of a key summit in Madrid, Spain.
However, among them are those Daria Kaleniuk, a civil rights activist who is co-founder and executive director of the Anti-Corruption Action Center in Kyiv, Ukraine. She is protesting against Nato鈥檚 lack of presence in the Ukraine war and wants more Nato action.
She told Newsday: 鈥淯krainian people don鈥檛 want or need boots on the ground. We have Ukrainian soldiers鈥hat we need are advanced heavy Nato weapons鈥ighter jets鈥�. She believes fear is at play, warning 鈥渢he fear of escalation is escalating itself鈥�.
