‘I put my head in my hands in absolute despair that we haven’t learnt lessons’

The MP Chris Pincher has been suspended from the Conservative Party after allegations of groping two men emerged. Ten Downing Street said Boris Johnson was aware of ‘reports and speculation’ about alleged sexual misconduct before Pincher’s appointment in February.

The former deputy chief whip resigned from his role on Thursday, telling the prime minister he had drunk ‘far too much’. He denies further allegations that have emerged over the weekend.

MP and Chair of the Women and Equalities Committee, Caroline Nokes, joined Emma Barnett on ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour to share her reaction to the allegations, and what has been described as five scandals in three months within the Conservative party.
