‘I didn’t expect the text to say: ‘Do you want to join me in a minibus driving to the Ukraine border?’

An all women team are travelling from the UK to the Ukraine border with much needed supplies, as part of a charity mission run by Eden Aid. They plan to return a few days later with 28 refugee women and children and their pets.

Barbara Went and Suzanne Pullin joined Emma Barnett on ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio 4's Woman's Hour to discuss why they felt pushed to help, how their shared experience of being widowers brought them together and what impact they have had so far.
