Hundreds of couples in New York City gathered for a massive wedding celebration at the weekend. Many of them had had their original wedding plans upended by Covid-19 restrictions.

The event was called Celebrate Love: A (Re)Wedding, and was thrown by the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts. Newsday鈥檚 Anita Langary spoke to one of the couples.

The groom, who is originally from Brazil said: "Everything was so well organised... they did such a beautiful job welcoming everybody."
