Are more US women considering permanent sterilisation?
Thousands of women across the United States are considering being sterilised as their preferred method of birth control. That's according to doctors, online search data, and women’s health groups. It follows the US Supreme Court overturning of the landmark Roe v. Wade ruling which put an end to the guarantee of abortion rights in the country. In terms of sterilisation procedures, women are specifically researching tying their fallopian tubes, that required surgery. Abortion is now being fully banned in at least eight states, with more expected in the coming weeks, and several states having restricted access to abortion.
