Sri Lankan protest priest fears arrest
In Sri Lanka, leaders of the popular protests which forced President Rajapaksa to flee the country have gone into hiding, worried about a police crackdown.
Months of protests on the island about the economic crisis there culminated in protesters storming government buildings earlier this month.
But in the week after new President Ranil Wickremesinghe was elected by parliament, reports say police are harassing protesters and arresting people.
One individual who has gone into hiding is a Catholic Priest called Father Jeevantha Peiris, known for wearing his priest's robes during the protests.
He told Newsday, "My only worry is that, with these innocent protests, many youth are brutally arrested and being replaced. For that I really worry, as I'm worried about the lives of our youth and our people, and they are crying for justice, so for that I'm worried."
