Allies of the former US President Donald Trump are demanding an explanation for the FBI's raid on Mar-a-Lago, his Florida home. His former deputy, Mike Pence, has called for "full accounting" as to why a search warrant was carried out but so far the FBI and Department of Justice have not commented. However Mr Trump's son, Eric, said it was related to official records that had been taken there after his father left the White House.

Randi Reed is a Republican and a former congressional candidate from Las Vegas in Nevada. She told Newsday: 鈥淓verything they鈥檙e looking for is everything that they鈥檙e gonna plant and it鈥檚 everything to prevent Donald Trump from running again because they know that he will come out, guns blazing and tear up their entire regime.鈥�
