Kenya Presidency: Raila Odinga ‘will go to the courts’

Kenya's president-elect, William Ruto, says he wants to unite the country after his narrow election victory over Raila Odinga. However, more than half of the election commission's members have rejected the result, saying the proper processes weren't followed.

Salim Lone is a friend and former adviser to Mr Odinga. He told Newsday: “I’ve just had a long conversation with him and he made it clear that he thought this was like the rape of democracy…we have plenty of videos showing how people were exchanging the forms, taking the real ones out and placing fake ones in…this is such a blatantly rigged election we will go to the courts.â€
