Global warming is creating opportunities for those searching for the minerals that are vital for the batteries powering the green economy -- the batteries in electric vehicles, for example, and the huge batteries that'll be needed to store energy for renewable sources such as wind and solar.

KoBold Metals - a company backed by billionaires such as Microsoft founder Bill Gates and Amazon's Jeff Bezos - is now scouring the west coast of Greenland, where global warming is melting glaciers at an unprecedented rate - for those minerals.

Its CEO, scientist and entrepreneur Kurt House has been telling Newshour's James Menendez what he's hoping to find there:
