Arizona faces Colorado River water cuts
The US state of Arizona will have its allocation of water from the Colorado river slashed by 21% next year.
The Colorado supplies seven US states, along with Mexico, but the historic drought in the US south-west has now forced this pre-agreed reduction to come in to force.
Yet the federal government is warning that more cuts in water-use need to be negotiated.
Tom Buschatzke is the director of the Arizona Department of Water Resources and he told Newshour's Tim Franks what he makes of the reduction.
