Is it time for Manchester United’s owners to move on?

Manchester United got a much needed first win of the season against bitter rivals Liverpool on Monday evening at Old Trafford. For United it had not been the best start to the season, losing their opening two matches to Brighton and Brentford and there have been protests against ownership of the club by the American Glazer family.

Dwight Yorke is a former Manchester United striker. He told Newsday the win was “unexpected and took us all by surprise” but that “sometimes you need a facelift; you need a new direction…and maybe it’s an opportunity for a new ownership to take a new stand in taking the club forward”.
