Ukrainian baby takes her first steps on Ukrainian Independence Day

Since war broke out six months ago in Ukraine, 5 Live's Nihal Arthanayake has been regularly speaking to Olena and Vladyslav, who are both currently living in Kyiv.

During their live radio update for Ukraine's Independence Day, Olena's 10-month-old daughter took her first steps while holding a Ukrainian flag.

Olena says marking her daughter's milestones shows "life goes on", despite living with a constant threat of attack.
