Niall Harbison is a man with a mission. Three years ago, he moved to Thailand from Ireland, and came across a dog he says made a huge impact on his life.

He's since dedicated his time to housing strays on the island of Ko Samui and has racked up a following on social media via his Instagram page, where he shares daily content about taking care of the dogs. As well as currently taking care of around 80 dogs on the island, he also wants to give people "a little lift" with the positive stories he posts online.

Niall told Newsday about the work he's doing and why he wants to eventually care for thousands of dogs each month.
