Kenya made history after electing 7 female governors in the polls held in August 2022. Two counties elected all women in the top leadership positions of governors, senators, and women representative seats. Among the women who made headlines is Linet Chepkorir. She was the youngest woman to be elected to the position of county woman representative in the Kenyan parliament, at the age of 24.
