Martin Lewis: ‘I welcome the government’s plans on energy bills’
Personal finance expert Martin Lewis says he “very much welcomes” plans to tackle high energy bills by the government.
Speaking to Radio 5 Live’s Nihal Arthanakaye, he says nobody in government has spoken to him about their proposed plans, but based on leaked and rumoured plans, consumers should have “peace of mind”.
“We can argue they’re expensive,” he says, “we can argue they aren’t targeted… but it will fulfil giving people a sigh of relief that they are able to pay their energy bills in the short term.”
