Environmental campaigner says Jersey International Air Display is 'absolutely terrible' for the environment
Jersey's International Air Display takes place this afternoon (8 September 2022), but the event is facing an uncertain future due to rising costs. Organisers say this year's budget is £80,000 lower than in previous years. They say it would be a 'tragedy' if the event ceases to exist. But environmental campaigner Nigel Jones thinks the air display is past its sell-by date. He says the 'massive, gas guzzling warfare machines' which take part in the event are 'absolutely terrible' for the environment.
