Dutch city to ban meat advertising
Haarlem in The Netherlands is set to ban meat ads from public spaces because of the food's climate impact. In what is thought to be the first such move by a city, it will enforce the ban from 2024.
Ziggy Klazes is from the GroenLinks party, which drafted the motion banning meat advertising. She told Newsday: “People are…extremely happy and a large portion is not so happy and some people even seem to think that it’s a limiting of freedom of speech.”
