“Music is like a second heart to meâ€
The ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Derby Make A Difference Awards are an opportunity to celebrate the heroes in our community. 21-year-old Andrea Crawford from Derby was bullied for several years after suffering a brain infection. Despite this, she started writing and singing songs to empower and support other victims of bullying.
Andrea was awarded the Together Award at the Make A Difference Awards ceremony in September. Before the event, she shared her inspiring story with ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Derby’s Sally Pepper.
Details of organisations offering information and support with mental health are available at bbc.co.uk/actionline, or you can call for free, at any time to hear recorded information on 08000 155 998.
