Graham Norton: ‘Phil and Holly did nothing wrong’
TV host Graham Norton has weighed in on the debate surrounding accusations of This Morning’s Phil Schofield and Holly Willoughby jumping the queue to see the late Queen Elizabeth II lying in state at Westminster Hall.
Speaking to 5 Live’s Nihal Arthanayake, Norton says he feels the ITV presenters “did nothing wrong” although it was “Foolish of them to not think people would be annoyed”.
At its peak, the queue reached over four miles in length and, according to the government’s queue tracker, a 24-hour wait.
Presenters Phil and Holly bypassed the queue and were able to enter Westminster Hall without waiting - spurring big reactions from members of the public.
In a special This Morning programme on the Queen, Willoughby said their visit was "strictly for reporting".
