Hundreds of thousands of Somalis - many trapped by conflict - are facing the prospect of famine. Government officials say international aid needs to arrive immediately.
Hundreds of thousands of Somalis 鈥� many trapped by conflict 鈥� are facing the prospect of famine. Young children are dying in growing numbers and government officials have told the 蜜芽传媒 that a far greater 鈥渃atastrophe鈥� could sweep across the country within days or weeks unless more international aid arrives immediately. The 蜜芽传媒's Africa correspondent Andrew Harding covered Somalia鈥檚 last famine, in 2011. Now, for 5 Minutes On, he reports from Baidoa, a city now at the heart of the worst drought to hit the country for forty years.
