Climate change forcing monkeys out of trees
A new study of 47 species of monkeys and lemurs, shows tree-dwelling animals are being driven to the ground.
This is due to climate change and deforestation, and means primates are at much greater risk of harm.
The animals are having to forage further afield as their preferred food and shelter disappear which could lead to more negative interactions with humans and other animals.
Dr Tim Eppley led the study at San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance, and he says climate change is "far too rapid for the species to be able to truly adapt."
