Somalia drought: Half the population 'will require humanitarian help'

Somalia is facing its worst drought in years. Millions of people face starvation and many are on the move in various parts of the country in search of respite.

Aid agencies are struggling to provide help to those in need whose numbers are rising by the day. Nearly eight million people have been impacted - two million of them are children.

Victor Chinyama is the Unicef spokesperson in Mogadishu. He expects that half the country's population will need humanitarian assistance and says "the worst is yet to come.”
