Rob Burrow was a professional rugby league player, who was diagnosed with motor neurone disease (MND) in 2019.
MND is a rare condition which affects the brain and nerves. It causes weaknesses that get worse over time.
Rob and his wife Lindsey spoke to 5 Live’s Naga Munchetty about the impact the disease has had on their lives.
Rob says the most frustrating thing about the disease is “not being able to be the dad I want to be” to their three children.
