As defending Ukrainian troops continue to retake territory in the region of Kherson, the impact of Russian occupation is becoming apparent.
Many villages have been looted and mostly destroyed.
Kyiv is concerned Moscow is planning an escalation as it continues to pull out of the southern city of Kherson.Â
The ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½'s James Waterhouse has been to some of the recently liberated villages. He spoke to some Ukrainians who experienced the occupation and witnessed what happened first hand..
Fedir, a 69-year-old from Kreshchenivka was one of them: "Those Russians said they were liberators. In reality they started robbing us...I'm crying because we spent half a year under explosions."
