'Natural burial grounds will start appearing in more places as loved ones want greater choice'

Temple Fields Cemetery in Solihull says it has seen a 50% rise in enquiries in the last 12 months.

Natural cemeteries use organic materials for coffins and try and think about the ecology of the area.

They are private companies who have to get a licence to be able to provide the service.

Once a plot is bought – it is owned by that family forever. Kath went to meet manager Hollie Whelan.
