Where did the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½â€™s nickname - ‘Auntie’ - come from?
Have you ever heard of the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ being referred to as ‘Auntie’, ‘Aunt Beebs’ or ‘Auntie B’?
To mark 100 years since the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ started daily radio broadcasts, Emma Barnett was joined on ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour by television presenter and comedian Mel Giedroyc and ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Historian Professor Jean Seaton. They explained a bit about why the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ got this nickname and commented on what kind of aunt she would be.
