'Clearing up the myths of trans healthcare'
'We Need To Talk About Trans Healthcare Inequality' is a training series introducing and exploring considerations for trans patients and service users in emergency, maternity, and mental health care.
Cass Forty began the project during their time as a Staff Nurse in Leicester's Hospitals Emergency Department and has since moved on to become a Lecturer in Nursing at Leicester De Montfort University.
Cass says “When I started the Chief Nurse Fellows programme, my project idea was to create a learning resource for Emergency Department colleagues, on how we could better look after our trans patients. I didn't know that it would quickly turn into something much bigger."
She tells Summaya how the project aims to help other health professionals better look after trans patients
