Mammal foot found inside the stomach of a dinosaur fossil
Scientists have made a discovery that reveals details about how mammals and dinosaurs lived together 120 million years ago.
They analysed a Chinese fossil, which revealed that inside the dinosaur there was the foot of a small mammal inside its stomach.
Dr David Hone from Queen Mary University in London made the discovery, and spoke to Newsday about how his team felt making the discovery.
He says, "It shows you what's looming around in collections all over the world, this was a very well studied fossil, a whole bunch of people had looked at it, and everyone had missed this detail."
