Was Musk's resignation from Twitter pre-planned?
Elon Musk has confirmed he will step down as chief executive of Twitter, as soon as he finds someone, as he puts it, "foolish enough to take the job".
He made the announcement after 57.5% of about 10 million people who took part in an online poll he organised voted for him to go.
But just how unexpected was this decision?
Drew Benvie, media commentator and CEO of social media consultancy Battenhall, says it was "always part of the plan."
