US Storm: 27 bodies recovered in the city of Buffalo
Dozens of people have died across the US due to the extreme weather conditions. The city of Buffalo, in the state of New York, has been the worst affected. At least 27 people have died there and more bodies are expected to be found as cars are dug out of deep snow drifts.
Craig Elston is a barber in Buffalo who has opened his shop up as a temporary shelter. He told Newsday: “People were banging on the doors saying that they were about to die…people are freezing to death in vehicles and being found lying face-first in the snow so I felt it was the right thing to do.”
